ZF Announces Nine-Speed Automatic Transmission for Front-Drivers

In Detroit this week, Germany?s ZF announced a new nine-speed transaxle it has in the works, called 9HP. It?s not based on the longitudinal 8HP that is found in BMWs and Bentleys, but an all-new automatic transmission built for front-engine, front-wheel-drive cars.
