Three SKS/Team Arrow drivers set to tackle new Dallas Karting Complex this weekendPLANT CITY, FL – After opening its doors this summer, Southern Karting Specialists has experienced a busy and successful first few months of business. Starting with the US Rotax Max Grand Nationals, SKS has supported a number of events and drivers throughout the country and Florida. Next on the schedule for Florida’s exclusive Arrow Kart dealer is the final two rounds of the Southwest Regional Cup series to be held this weekend at the new Dallas Karting Complex. The world-class karting facility is hosting the SWRC program this weekend as part of its official Grand Opening in Texas on October 1-2. SKS/Team Arrow will travel to support three drivers in the SWRC Rotax competition.
“This weekend is going to be a great weekend for Southern Karting Specialists,” commented SKS principal Tony Tesoro. “It will be great to support our Texas drivers as they travel to the Dallas Karting Complex for the first time ever. I’ve heard great things about the DKC facility and I’m happy to be part of their Grand Opening event. I’m confident our three drivers will be challenging for podium finishes throughout the weekend aboard their SKS Arrow machines.”
Nick Brueckner, Arrow Micro Max pilot, will again drive this weekend under the SKS Team Arrow banner for the SWRC finale. Despite a tough ending in the finals at the Rotax Grand Nationals in July after showing well throughout the event, Brueckner has been perfect this year in SWRC competition with eight-straight feature wins. Nick will attempt to extend his win streak to ten, ending the SWRC season with a complete perfect score for the Micro Max championship title with SKS/Team Arrow at his side.
Trenton Estep, Arrow Mini Max pilot, will also drive this weekend under the SKS/Team Arrow banner. Finishing 18th at the Rotax Grand Nationals, Estep will look to close out the Texas season on a high note. Trenton has two podium finishes in six starts, missing the last two SWRC rounds in Katy. With SKS onsite for trackside race support, the goal will be to once again put Estep on the podium.
Rotax Junior driver Drew Setzer will be the third driver this weekend to race under the SKS/Team Arrow banner. Setzer has been very consistent this year in SWRC competition, placing inside the top-five in seven of the eight features in the series and currently sits second in the Junior championship chase, trailing by only 70 points. Two victories this weekend could help advance him to the championship position. SKS/Team Arrow will be there in full support of his effort.
Following the SWRC finale weekend, Southern Karting Specialties will continue its preparation for the SKUSA SuperNationals XV in Las Vegas on November 16-20. Although its pit space for the SuperNats is almost full, SKS is still accepting arrive & drive along with support programs for the event.
