Jeep CEO Still Wants a Proper Pickup

The last authentic Jeep pickup didn't fair so well. The Comanche was a product based on their origin Cherokee platform, but strong competition from other brands, especially from Dodge and Chrysler, saw it being canceled in 1992.

At the recent 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, Jeep CEO Mike Manley took a more focused stand on the matter of a dedicated Jeep pickup, saying it needs to be a proper off-roader first and foremost.
