DTM race in Shanghai canceled because the Chinese stage WTCC

The final race of the German Touring Car championship DTM 2011 in Shanghai, was canceled. As the official site DTM, this decision was caused by the coincidence of the date of the Shanghai segment of the penultimate race WTCC World Touring Car Championship in the Chinese province of Guangdong.

Administration Series DTM tried to agree on a transfer stage in Shanghai for another weekend, but city officials refused to meet the German championship.

"Canceling the race in Shanghai was regrettable, but I'm sure it will not end our presence in Asia series – the head of DTM, Hans-Werner Aufreht. – We will make every effort to return the race in China in calendar 2012.
